Course Overview
This course provides you with the underpinning knowledge, clinical skills and clinical reasoning to successfully perform within the role of a Critical Care Paramedic or clinical level equivalent both within Australia and internationally. The Graduate Diploma of Paramedic Science (Critical Care) is an innovative and practical course that aims to ensure that you can provide essential services in critical care paramedic practice, including aeromedical, retrieval and tactical environments.

Entry Requirements - What do I need to start?
Academic Requirements
- a completed Diploma of Paramedic Science with a minimum of 3 years independent clinical operational experience with a state based or similar ambulance provider following their qualification; or
- a completed Advanced Diploma Intensive Care Paramedic or equivalent in advanced practice with a minimum of 2 years independent clinical operational experience with a state based or similar ambulance provider following their qualification; or
- a completed Bachelor of Paramedic Science or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years independent clinical operational experience with a state based or similar ambulance provider following their qualification

The Graduate Diploma of Paramedic Science (Critical Care) is open to current Intensive Care Paramedics who have successfully completed a relevant Advanced Diploma in Intensive Care Paramedic Practice or equivalent qualification. Students may be admitted and credit applied to some units on the basis of completion of the Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification and minimum of five years front line practice as an Intensive Care Paramedic or equivalent clinical level.
