Course Summary

With this skill set topics covered include managing conflict, coaching, leadership skills and monitoring work operations. You will learn conflict resolution techniques, manage performance through effective leadership, produce quality day-to-day work from your team, communicate clearly and how to become a proactive coach, enabling your colleagues or subordinates to operate independently

If you are new in a supervisory role, or an experienced manager, this course will improve your theoretical knowledge and give you a practical understanding so you can successfully manage a diverse group of people.

Vocational Placement and Work Integrated Learning

Students must complete a Vocational Placement and/or Work Integrated Learning as part of this qualification.

Additional information

Practical skills must be demonstrated in an operational food and beverage outlet or simulated environment such as a pubs, clubs cafes or restaurants.Students not currently working in the industry, or who do not have access to workplace simulated environments will need to discuss this with the teaching team.
