This online micro-credential provides an introduction in strategies to practice Mindful Self-Care and Resiliency (MSCR). The micro-credential is an abbreviated online version of the original MSCR psychoeducation and skills-based course developed by Dr. Mark Craigie, Clinical Psychologist, to provide individuals with skills to be more resilient to workplace and study stress as well as prevent burnout. The micro-credential will outline the core elements of MSCR. Topics covered include understanding the causes and effects of stress, and the signs and symptoms of burnout. As well as learning how to develop resiliency skills and resources, such as applied relaxation and mindful responding, values-based action, balanced thinking and responding to social support, and self-care. Presented using lectures, webinar recordings, and readings, the micro-credential also provides students with an opportunity to engage in mindfulness exercises.
