(Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) is a university enabling course designed to provide you with a pathway to gain entry to and succeed in higher education. As a STEPS student, you will complete one core unit and a number of electives. The number and type of electives you take will depend on the course you intend to study after STEPS, as well as the results of diagnostic tests you complete prior to admission through this site).

Completion of the diagnostic testing resource provides students a study plan as part of their Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) course. The study plan is devised in consultation with the Access Coordinator once the diagnostic testing is completed.
