Course Summary

Oral presentation skills are considered one of the most important proficiencies needed in higher education and in the workplace. This online micro-credential will explore how to develop and enhance your oral presentation skills. This micro-credential will provide practical strategies for planning, creating effective visual aids, and delivering your presentation in a way that keeps your audience engaged. You will also explore strategies to maintain a positive and mindful attitude in the lead-up to your presentation and during the delivery.

Students who successfully complete the CQUniversity School of Access Education's Preparation Skills for University set of 9 micro-credentials, may receive a unit exemption from the equivalent CL03 Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) unit with CQUniversity.

To be eligible for this exemption, students must have completed:

  1. Once you have selected your desired micro-credential, you can now add it to your shopping cart to enable you to purchase more than one "course" in a single transaction.

Student Outcomes, Career Opportunities and Occupations

Undertaking this micro-credential enables students to meet their Continuing Professional Development obligations and industry update requirements in their profession. Upon successful completion of the micro-credential, students will be awarded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, a Digital Badge and a Certificate of Completion.

Students who successfully complete the set of 9 micro-credentials* developed from the unit SKIL40025 Preparation Skills for University, (which forms part of the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03), may be eligible for exemption, pending all other entry requirements to the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03 are being met, as automatic entry will not apply.
