This online Short Course provides practical tools for practitioners working with vulnerable victims and survivors of Domestic and Family Violence. It will provide expert knowledge on the dangers of separation and how to collaborate with women to reduce the risk of domestic homicide. The course will examine numerous danger assessment tools that can be used in professional practice.
This course is introductory in nature. Completing a comprehensive appraisal of the risks posed to victims of domestic and family violence requires detailed and specialist training. Completion of this introductory course does not provide that level of training. Participants are reminded that risk assessment is not a static event: it is a continuing and complex process. Where relevant, participants are also reminded to access the risk assessment tools and processes of their organisation before undertaking a domestic and family violence risk assessment.
This online Short Course provides a non-creditable micro-credential and digital badge which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.
The fee for this short course will be $45.
There are no specific entry requirements to enrol in this course, however, it is suitable for people who work in counselling, social work, psychology and domestic violence services.
