PDC59132 - Pelvic Floor Proficiency in the Fitness Setting

Version Effective: 28th of June, 2021

Course Details

Course Summary

Demonstrating pelvic floor contractions in person is much more effective than reading a pamphlet. Effectively cueing pelvic floor is much more than switch on your core, yet many fitness professionals shy away from the P word! This online micro-credential will empower you to confidently cue pelvic floor muscles to switch on and also importantly, how to switch them off, both in isolation and in movement. The cues are slightly modified for both female and male pelvic muscles. However, the importance of understanding the role of the pelvic floor, correct breathing, and posture will impact positively on all of your clients’ ability to lift heavier weights and perform the explosive activity without putting their pelvic floor at risk.

This is a non-creditable micro-credential which is awarded a digital badge and Certificate of Completion which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.
