PDC50263 - Orientation for International Medical Graduates

Version Effective: 25th of March, 2021

Course Details

Course Summary

This online Short Course provides an orientation for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to the Australian health care system to fulfill the requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Every IMG is required under AHPRA requirements to undergo this orientation. The current process is time consuming, difficult and inconsistent, as it is performed by Supervisors with variable skill levels. This course eliminates inconsistency of information provision, is assessed formally to ensure adequate knowledge is attained and provides the depth of knowledge that is extremely difficult to provide by working clinicians in the hospital or private sector. The course is designed exactly as set out in AHPRA’s orientation requirements so it very clearly covers the issues required to achieve AHPRA compliance.

The fee for this short course will be $250.00.
