Energy is the single biggest contributor to global warming, but without energy, our economies and societies would not be sustained. Most of the world's energy comes from non-renewable resources which pollute the air and land, and interest in cleaner, renewable energy resources that can power the planet is growing. The hydrogen industry in Queensland is set to provide a source of energy storage which can be utilised nationally and internationally, reducing carbon dioxide emissions globally and positioning Queensland as a sustainable energy powerhouse. Students undertaking this micro-credential will learn how hydrogen can support the world's growing energy demands while reducing the global carbon footprint, as well as develop the STEM skills relevant to participating in the emerging hydrogen industry.
