Requirements - To Be Eligible

For your application to be considered, you must meet the following entry requirements.

Entry Requirements

To help us understand how best to support you, you’ll need to complete the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy, numeracy and digital literacy assessments to progress your application. Alternatively, completion of an equal or higher level course may exempt you from this testing.

Individuals must provide evidence of their technical and organisational skills to conceptualise and create works in selected medium.

Skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience in creative practice or formal study.

During your study

To succeed in the Diploma of Visual Arts, it is recommended that students have prior knowledge of the technical aspects of their chosen media such as painting or printmaking. An understanding of basic drawing techniques and experience using a variety of drawing media is expected before enrolling.

If you do not yet have this foundational knowledge, we encourage you to consider CQ University’s Certificate III in Visual Arts. This course will help you build the essential skills and confidence needed for the diploma.
