This qualification is suitable for individuals who identify and apply project management skills and knowledge in a wide variety of contexts. Skills and knowledge gained from this course can be used in a variety of contexts across many industry sectors, including (but not limited to) project administrators, quality officers, quality control officers, contracts officers and small business operators.
Individuals in these roles might be members of a project team, with no direct responsibility for overall project outcomes. Primarily, these roles would support wider project operations and may use project tools and techniques to support organisational activities or business needs.
The delivery is online with a specific sequence of units within 3 clusters, grouped together of 3 core and 6 elective units. It is a requirement of this course that you enrol into all units under each cluster, following the designated sequence listed in the Course structure tab. New students must enrol into the first cluster of units before attempting the remaining clusters.
CQUniversity requirement - Completion of BKSB (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher-level course.
CQUniversity recommendation of 18 years of age with either completion of Year 12 or equivalent, access to a computer, Internet and intermediate computer skills.

This course is delivered online for a period of 54 weeks, the nine (9) units are grouped into three (3) clusters to assist students progression of study. Students must follow the sequence outlined in the course planner and enrol into all units under each cluster.
It may be possible for the student to complete the course sooner if they are deemed competent.
Students must complete all components of the assessment tasks within the course to be deemed competent.
CLUSTER 1 ADMINISTRATION BSBPMG420 - Apply project scope management techniques This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to contribute to the project’s scope by assisting with identifying its objectives, deliverables, constraints, assumptions and outcomes. It also involves applying controls once the project has commenced and contribute to reviewing the suitability of those controls. The unit applies to individuals who support project managers and other team members to apply project scope management techniques. BSBPMG421 - Apply project time management techniques This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to assist with project scheduling activities, apply and monitor the agreed project schedule, and evaluate the effectiveness of time management for the project. The unit applies to individuals who are project practitioners working in a project support role. BSBPMG422 - Apply project quality management techniques This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to enhance project outcomes by contributing to quality planning, applying quality policies and procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement in projects. BSBOPS401 Coordinate business resources This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to determine and analyse existing and required resources, their effective application and the accountability for their use. CLUSTER 3 COMMUNICATION AND WORKPLACE RELATIONSHIPS BSBPMG425 - Apply project information management and communications techniques This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a critical link between people, ideas and information at all stages in the project life cycle. It involves assisting the project team to plan communications, communicating information related to the project, and reviewing communications. The unit applies to individuals who are project practitioners working in a project support role. BSBLDR413 Lead effective workplace relationships This unit describes the skills, knowledge and outcomes required to use leadership to promote team cohesion. It includes motivating, mentoring, coaching and developing the team and forming the bridge between the management of the organisation and team members. The unit applies to team leaders, supervisors and new or emerging managers where leadership plays a role in developing and maintaining effective workplace relationships. It applies in any industry or community context. At this level, work will normally be carried out within routine and non-routine methods and procedures, which require planning, evaluation, leadership and guidance of others. BSBPEF401 Manage personal health and wellbeing This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to identify signs and sources of strain on personal health and wellbeing (both physical and mental) within job roles and according to key performance indicators (KPIs).
