The units delivered under this short course are AHCIRG346, AHCIRG338 and AHCIRG347. These units of competency describe the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain irrigation systems including conducting pre-start checks, fault finding/isolation procedures as well as reporting requirements. By capitalising on these skills, the proposed training in irrigation for councils in Australia has the potential to enhance water management, promote sustainability, and contribute to the overall well-being of communities and the environment. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to these units at the time of publication.
