It includes preparing for a derailment investigation, determining potential contributory factors, planning for derailment investigation report requirements, and investigating a derailment. This unit applies to people with the responsibility for rail operations management. The unit TLIF5023 Undertake a Derailment Investigation is a standalone unit delivered at the CQUniversity Bundaberg Crash Lab as a residential school over 5 days. Residential School Information
A number of exercises will be conducted outdoors in a simulated rail environment. Students will be required to wear long sleeved high visibility shirt, long trousers, steel capped/composite safety boots, safety glasses, gloves and a broad brimmed hat.
All Residential Schools for 2020 are currently deferred. Teachers will be in contact with current students to discuss their options.
