This unit describes the knowledge and skills required to provide support and information to children and young people living in a home where domestic and family violence occurs. It requires an awareness of the potential effects of domestic and family violence on behaviour and development. This unit applies to health and community service workers providing services according to established organisation procedures. These workers may not be specialised family violence workers.
There are no specific entry requirements, however, students enrolling in this course need to work or volunteer in the health and community services to achieve competency in this accredited course. Student will be required to complete the following Workplace Portfolio tasks:

Educational content will be delivered through 4 x 2 hour Zoom sessions. After this, students will access the Moodle VET learning material for the duration of the 20 week period.

Educational content will be delivered through face-to-face workshops as negotiated within specific Corporate/Commercial contracts. After this, students will access the Moodle VET learning material for the duration of the 20 week period.
OR
Educational content will be delivered through Moodle, and assessments to be submitted via Moodle, limited teacher contact.
