Students are required to have the following diagnostic instruments on their person for use whilst completing their clinical placement throughout the program:

• a plessor (preferred model of reflex hammer)
• a thermometer (preferred model is non contact skin type)
• an otoscope
• a sphygmomanometer (inflatable cuff type, arm or wrist, automatic)
• a stethoscope

Prior to commencement of this program, students are required to:

• obtain a Level 2 First Aid Certificate
• complete a full Police Check
• obtain a Blue Card or equivalent if completing placement outside Queensland

Students will be required to submit evidence of attainment to the School's Work Integrated Learning Office at least 2 weeks prior to commencing the course. This level of first aid is to be maintained throughout the student's enrolment in the Master program.
