Elective Opportunities

There are three majors in the Master of Information Technology and students are able to take as electives either of the remaining two majors in the program, excluding the discipline capstone project. Below is a table showing the courses available as electives from the three majors. You have the opportunity of choosing four courses from a particular Masters program and completing a minor in a related discipline.

Business and Law courses: Students are able to take courses from Business and Law providing any prerequisites have been met. Please see the Student Handbook for available courses.

Internship Opportunity

Students in the Master of Information Technology are able to apply for an internship. To qualify for the internship, students need to undertake BUSN20017 Effective Business Communications as an elective as this is a preparatory course for the internship. This course will prepare you for working with the internship host.

To qualify for an internship students must be in good academic standing, successfully pass the CQUniversity English Language Placement test and complete an interview with the internship host.
