Number of units: 6 Total credit points: 36

Students should note that they may be required to take some units online depending on the campus of their study. Term 3 units are not offered on some campuses. If the student wants to study in Term 3 from the campus that the unit is not available, the student will need to enrol online. 

You are required to complete 6 core units and 2 elective units.

COIT11226 Systems Analysis
COIT11238 Networked Infrastructure Foundations
COIT11239 Professional Communications Skills for ICT
COIT11237 Database Design & Implementation
COIT11223 Information Technology and Society
Diploma of Information and Communications Technology Elective
Number of units: 2 Total credit points: 12

Students must choose two electives:

  • one elective from the list below. If you are intending on continuing your studies with the Bachelor of Information Technology (CQ18), we recommend you choose the elective that aligns with your chosen major:
    • Application Development Major: COIT11134 Object Oriented Programming
    • Artificial Intelligence Major: STAT11048 Essential Statistics
    • Business Data Analytics Major: COIT11240 Dashboard Design and Visualisation
    • Cyber Security Major: COIT11241 Cybersecurity Technologies
  • any other 6-credit point undergraduate unit offered within the Bachelor of Information Technology (CQ18), provided all required pre-requisites have been met.
