Overview
In this unit you will continue to develop an advanced level of technical, creative and performance skills within the context of the presentation of a publicly performed theatrical work. You will have the opportunity to broaden your technical, creative and performance skills in theatre through participation in various creative projects. This may include collaborative or solo creative projects, as well as those with a social innovation goal. You will be required to document the outcomes of this project as part of your personal performance website that you will build upon throughout your course. The building of the content within this website will enable you to critically reflect on your development as a theatre practitioner and to showcase your knowledge and skills to reach your desired career outcomes.

Pre-requisites or Co-requisites
Pre-requisite: 72 credit points
Important note: Students enrolled in a subsequent unit who failed their pre-requisite unit, should drop the subsequent unit before the census date or within 10 working days of Fail grade notification. Students who do not drop the unit in this timeframe cannot later drop the unit without academic and financial liability. Attendance Requirements
All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes - in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).
Recommended Student Time Commitment
Each 6-credit Postgraduate unit at CQUniversity requires an overall time commitment of an average of 12.5 hours of study per week, making a total of 150 hours for the unit.

Assessment Grading
This is a graded unit: your overall grade will be calculated from the marks or grades for each assessment task, based on the relative weightings shown in the table above. You must obtain an overall mark for the unit of at least 50%, or an overall grade of 'pass' in order to pass the unit. If any 'pass/fail' tasks are shown in the table above they must also be completed successfully ('pass' grade). You must also meet any minimum mark requirements specified for a particular assessment task, as detailed in the 'assessment task' section (note that in some instances, the minimum mark for a task may be greater than 50%). Consult the University's Grades and Results Policy for more details of interim results and final grades.

1 Practical Assessment
Task:
- You will be required to undertake performing/technical roles in the major production(s) for term 2.
- Performing roles (all solo and ensemble roles) are allocated by the guest director for the production after the completion of the designated audition period.
- Technical roles are allocated by the guest director in conjunction with the course coordinator. Expressions of interest for specific technical roles may be sought by the unit coordinator, and you may choose to nominate for one of these roles.

This assessment must be submitted by the specified due date and time. Due to the nature of this task, the standard 72-hour grace period does not apply. For this assessment you need to successfully complete two micro-credentials designed to assist you in your future career as theatre practitioners.
- PDC111202 Number Crunching for Creatives
This online micro credential will introduce essential account keeping requirements for the sole trader. Students will be introduced to simple and effective use of excel spreadsheets for keeping records of cashflow, profit and loss, and will learn about other record keeping recommendations such as receipts and logbooks. This online micro-credential provides a non-creditable micro-credential and digital badge which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.
Duration: 3 hours online self-paced learning.
- PDC111206 Designing your Creative Business
This micro-credential provides resources to build knowledge, skills, capability, and sustainability in small arts business development in Queensland. The course will outline the knowledge and skills required to start, grow and consolidate a small business. Fundamentals of business design, development and sustainability will be covered. This online micro-credential provides a non-creditable micro-credential and digital badge which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.
