Overview
This unit will explore principles of typography and colour theory, equipping you with the skills to create visually engaging and effective designs for both print and digital media. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, you will explore the history, anatomy and application of typography, learning how to work with type to create well-organised and aesthetically pleasing compositions. You will also engage with colour theory principles, learning how to apply colour to designs that communicate the intended message and evoke the right emotional response in different media contexts. By the end of this unit, you will be able to critically evaluate typography and colour choices in real-world design scenarios, and confidently apply these elements to a variety of creative projects.
