Overview
The Business Internship unit provides you with a structured opportunity to gain supervised, practical experience in a professional setting. It is designed to support your progression into the workforce by exposing you to real-world business practices and enabling you to apply the knowledge, skills, and attributes you have developed through your studies. Assessment tasks are intentionally aligned with the competencies and experiences relevant to your chosen profession. In collaboration with the unit coordinator and your workplace supervisor, you will also have the opportunity to identify, and potentially undertake, professional development activities, including relevant training courses, to enhance your employability and support your professional growth during the internship.

Feedback, Recommendations and Responses
Every unit is reviewed for enhancement each year. At the most recent review, the following staff and student feedback items were identified and recommendations were made.
Feedback from Self-reflection
Weekly reflections are done on the tasks stated in the workbook. As they are full-time students, they sometimes face difficulties in submitting their reflections weekly.
The Unit Coordinator will have to be flexible and accommodate the student requests for flexibility in weekly work tasks. Also, a redesign of assessments may be helpful to align with any change the reflections.
