Overview
Upon successful completion of this unit, you will be able to describe the structural levels of organisation within the body, use anatomical terminology to describe the relative location of structures in the body, and explain the role and general features of homeostasis in the body. You will also gain an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic and immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive human body systems. Your knowledge and skills will be developed through a series of coursework exercises.

Pre-requisites or Co-requisites
There are no requisites for this unit.
Important note: Students enrolled in a subsequent unit who failed their pre-requisite unit, should drop the subsequent unit before the census date or within 10 working days of Fail grade notification. Students who do not drop the unit in this timeframe cannot later drop the unit without academic and financial liability. Attendance Requirements
All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes - in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).

Remind students to engage consistently with weekly learning materials and assessment preparation resources throughout the term to support success in online quizzes and remind students they should plan to dedicate approximately 12.5 hours per week to study and learning activities associated with this unit. Review unit content, assessment design, and learning activities so they continue to support student learning and achievement of unit learning outcomes.
