If you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder, you may be eligible to apply directly to CQUniversity.

To be eligible for to apply directly, you must meet one of the following criteria.

  • are applying to study at the Cairns location and can demonstrate residency in Far North, Northern or Northwest Queensland regions, for a minimum duration of either three years (36 months) continuously or five years (60 months) cumulatively.

Mackay campus: Apply direct applications closed on Tuesday, 30 September 2025.

Cairns campus: Apply direct applications close on Monday, 8 December 2025

Please note:  If you are applying for admission into this course at the Cairns Campus, you must demonstrate residency in one or more eligible location/s within the Far North, Northern or Northwest Queensland region, for a minimum duration of either three years (36 months) continuously or five years (60 months) cumulatively.

Apply Via A Tertiary Admission Centre
If you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder, and you do not meet any of the eligibility criteria to apply directly to CQUniversity, you will need to submit your application via the appropriate Tertiary Admission Centre (TAC), such as QTAC, UAC, or via ApplyCQU.

International Applicant
